Winter Park Resort now open

Winter Park Resort opens for the 68th Ski season on Wednesday, 15 November 2006 with 57 inches of snow so far. If October every indication that they are in store for another epic season. Last month was recording mode with several moving through storms, a drop more than 2 feet of snow!

Winter Park Mountain is now open from top to bottom with a 29-inch base in the middle of the mountain. 9 lifts (including the Zephyr Express, Express and Eskimo Prospector Express) and 20 trails are already upand running. Open slopes include the popular Cranmer, March Hare, White Rabbit and Jabberwocky, plus Discovery Park, is to beginner skiers and boarders. Dog Patch Terrain Park is also open to those who improve their freestyle skills, more runs are expected to open for you later this week.
